Platform

Web app & mobile PWA — fully featured on both

Scatterbrainz isn't a cut-down mobile companion. The same tracker, the same data, the same sync — available in your browser and installable on your phone in one tap.

Browser app

The full Scatterbrainz experience at scatterbrain.tech. Multi-project dashboard, nested component trees, 7-stage tracking, share modal, document ingest, Claude sync, team management — everything accessible from any desktop or laptop browser. No install required. Works on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

Mobile PWA

Install Scatterbrainz directly to your home screen — no App Store, no friction. The mobile companion mirrors the full web app in a touch-optimised layout: swipeable project cards, bottom-sheet modals, compact 7-stage strips, and the same share & sync features. Updates silently, works offline with cached state.

Methodology

The 7-stage model — built for how AI projects actually ship

Generic project tools use arbitrary columns. Scatterbrainz uses a fixed seven-stage critical path that maps to the real lifecycle of every Claude-assisted build — from first spec to live operations. Every component moves through the same stages, so rollup progress is always comparable and honest.

Stage 01 SPEC

Specification

Requirements captured. Feature scope defined. Acceptance criteria written. Architecture decisions logged. The spec stage is done when you know exactly what you're building.

Stage 02 DES

Design

UX flows, data models, API contracts, and interface wireframes. Design stage closes when every interface your component touches is agreed and documented.

Stage 03 BUI

Build

Active development. Code written, Claude conversations active, components assembled. Build stage tracks deliverable-by-deliverable progress as features take shape.

Stage 04 INT

Integrate

The component connects to other services, APIs, and systems it depends on. Integration stage tracks cross-system handshakes, auth flows, and data contracts.

Stage 05 TES

Test

Unit, integration, and end-to-end test suites run. Edge cases caught. QA sign-off obtained. Test stage closes when the component behaves as specified under real conditions.

Stage 06 DEP

Deploy

The component ships to a production or production-equivalent environment. Deploy stage tracks CI/CD pipeline setup, environment config, first successful deploy, and rollback plan.

Stage 07 OPE

Operate

The component is live and actively maintained. Monitoring configured, on-call defined, runbooks written. A component in OPERATE is a component you can trust in production.

Progress model

Critical path rollup — always accurate, never manual

Scatterbrainz calculates progress from the bottom up. You tick deliverables; the system does the math. No manual percentages, no estimation — just truth.

1

Deliverables → Stage %

Each stage contains a set of deliverables. Ticking a deliverable moves the stage percentage. The stage is complete only when all deliverables are ticked.

2

Stages → Component %

The seven stage percentages roll up into a single component progress number. A component at 57% has completed roughly four of seven stages — the bar makes that visual immediately.

3

Components → Project %

Component percentages aggregate to a project-level rollup. Sub-components cascade through their parent. Cascade-aware rendering means blocking work is always surfaced.

4

Projects → Portfolio view

Across the home dashboard, all projects are visible at once. Filter by tenant, sort by progress, identify the laggards. Your entire portfolio in one screen.

Collaboration

Team & stakeholder tools

Assign components, share snapshots, and keep stakeholders in the loop without giving anyone access to the full tracker.

Team roles

Add teammates with defined roles — Developer, Designer, PM, Stakeholder. Role labels appear on deliverable cards and in shared reports so context travels with the work.

Progress report sharing

Send a live read-only snapshot to any email address. The recipient gets a clean, branded view of the project state — no login, no friction, no access to your editor.

Stakeholder view

The shared report link renders at ?share= — a URL-encoded snapshot that's read-only and link-gated. No account creation required for the recipient.

Audit trail

Every API call, share event, and sync action is logged in the in-app console. Delivery status, round-trip time, request ID, and transport mode are recorded for every action.

Deliverable assignment

Assign individual deliverables to team members. Ownership is visible on every stage strip, making blockers and unowned work immediately obvious at a glance.

Timestamped snapshots

Every shared report captures an exact point-in-time state. Recipients always know when the snapshot was taken. Compare reports across dates to see velocity.

AI-native sync

Claude sync — your tracker stays in step with your work

Scatterbrainz is built from the ground up to work with Claude Code sessions, not alongside them. Drop a status note, conversation export, or project update — the tracker reads it and updates accordingly.

1

Document ingest

Drop any markdown document into the ingest panel. Scatterbrainz parses the structure, detects component names, reads status markers (LIVE, BUILD, SPEC, % complete), and pre-fills the tracker. No blank zeroes on day one.

2

Remote state sync

Your project state is stored in a Netlify Blob, readable by any Claude Code session with the right credentials. Claude reads it, updates it as work ships, and pushes the new state back — your dashboard reflects reality automatically.

3

Status-aware parsing

The parser understands progress language — "deployed", "in production", "spec only", "in counsel queue". Components land with the correct stage pre-ticked, not with empty bars requiring manual entry. SUPREME RULE 7.7: truth on first render.
